men.

men are a huge factor in the way women perceive themselves.

women change for men and settle for men.

change their:
  • appearance
  • personality
  • interests
  • dislikes
  • lifestyle
settle for:
  • disrespect
  • abuse
  • inequality
  • controlling
  • manipulating
it is so difficult to feel good about yourselves if you are constantly changing and constantly settling for the bad characteristics in a man. i'm telling you all that you are better than that. don't let a man determine your own confidence and your own life. you all have the strength to get out of an abusive relationship.

you are beautiful. and you deserve the best.

forgive me.

forgive my lack of post. it has been a crazy last few days. i'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again.

audrey hepburn always demonstrates qualities of confidence. these words of wisdom couldn't be more exact.

and coming from a woman who has lasted the decades, i think she knows what she is talking about. take her words into consideration.

you are beautiful. and make that conscience effort to remember that.

real women.

those women you see in magazines... they aren't real women. take a look at these before and after pictures:

it's amazing to see the transformation. so even though the media says that real women look like this, they are lying in hopes of more idealistic world.

remember, life is too short to go about thinking you aren't good enough.

you only need to be good enough for yourself. it doesn't matter the opinions of anyone else. it only matters what you think and what you feel.

you are beautiful. and a real woman.

words of encouragement.

there are days that are just plain hard. you look in the mirror, and you don't like what you see. nothing seems to be working. you go throughout the day, wishing you could have stayed home; sleeping or watching tv.

these are days where you need those words of encouragement to tell yourself how beautiful you really are.

if you ever have these kinds of days (which we all do), every time you look in the mirror, i want you to say, "you look pretty today."

as simple as it is to say, it can be the hardest thing to say. but after saying it enough, you will start to believe it. believe me, telling yourself that will impact your view on yourself. it works. try it out.

you are beautiful. and i know you know that inside.

emma watson.

here is a girl. famous, beautiful, charming, smart, rich, everything. i love how she demonstrates true beauty. how often do you see her flaunting everything she's got? answer: never. these two quotes below are the reason emma watson is an idol in my eyes.

“i find the whole concept of being ‘sexy’ embarrassing and confusing. if i do an interview with photographs people desperately want to change me - dye my hair blonder, pluck my eyebrows, give me a fringe. then there’s the choice of clothes. i know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. but that’s not me. i feel uncomfortable. i’d never go out in a mini-skirt. it’s nothing to do with protecting the hermione image. i wouldn’t do that. personally, I don’t actually think it’s even that sexy. what’s sexy about saying, ‘i’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt, have a look at everything I’ve got?’ my idea of sexy is that less is more. the less you reveal the more people can wonder.”

seriously, this girl is a genius.

“there's nothing interesting about looking perfect—you lose the point. you want what you're wearing to say something about you, about who you are.”

be you. it doesn't matter what the world sees as beautiful.

you are beautiful. and don't let anyone tell you any differently.
